Paraffin candles are petroleum based and tend to leave a build-up of black film on the jar and sometimes, especially with lower-grade waxes, on walls, ceilings, drapes and furnishings. The soybean candle produces little to no soot.
It generally burns at a slower rate than other candles. The burn pool is even.
The soybean candle contains no carcinogens or toxins.
The soybean is an agricultural product and is thus considered a "renewable" resource. Soybean wax is super thick hydrogenated oil: bad for your arteries, but good for your environment.
Soywax is easily cleaned as it's water soluble.
